The interview process with Parachute Home was one of the best I've ever been a part of. Joe, the recruiter, did an outstanding job of communicating with me and updating me every step of the way. After my initial conversation with Joe, I met with the Hiring Manager and a few team members that I would potentially be working with. I got a great understanding of the company as well as the culture. Although I didn't get a job offer, I wish every company's interview process was like this and that every recruiter was like Joe!

I applied through Indeed and was contacted a week later for a first interview. The interview was a little over an hour-long with the Assistant Manager. She asked really in-depth questions about my work experience and Problem-solving etc. Very typical and relevant interview questions. About a week after my first interview I got a second interview to meet both Assistant managers in store and talk more about the role and my background/personal life. This conversation was very comfortable and they even offered me a nice coffee during the interview which was very thoughtful. The team at the soho store seemed really genuine and great and they seem to love their job. A few days after my second interview I got an offer letter and accepted.

The interview process started off smoothly with setting up the time and date, but there was a mix-up when the first interviewer called me two hours early. I answered, thinking it was for another job I was interviewing for, and was caught off guard when it turned out to be the hiring manager from Parachute. I mentioned the confirmed interview time, and he explained that he was sick and had made a mistake. He asked if we could proceed with the interview right then, but since I was walking my dog, I politely declined. He called back at the correct time, and the interview went well, although I noticed he seemed quite junior for his position. In my next interview, the interviewer seemed disorganized and unprofessional. They didn't even know the position I was interviewing for when we started, which was very bizarre and unsettling. It made me feel uneasy about how disorganized the process has been. About halfway through, I realized it wasn't a great fit, so I ended the interview. The entire experience felt extremely disrespectful and like a waste of my time.

This was one of the best interview experiences I've had! Big thanks to Joe for guiding me throughout. It started with a phone screen, followed by a call with my potential supervisor. Next, there was an Excel test, and then a lengthy 3.5-hour interview with the team I'd be joining. References were checked at the very end. The long interview felt intimidating at first, but it turned out to be quite relaxed and conversational.
