Sales
Had a phone chat, and then it was onto the final interview. This last one was a mix of getting to know each other, roleplaying a sales pitch, and then they gave feedback. I was a bit confused by the roleplaying part. They wanted you prepped for the meeting (taking notes, reviewing stuff), but then in the actual meeting, no notes were allowed and you were expected to know everything 100%. Also, one manager gave me a really odd vibe. Was typing and laughing during my intro, called out my past experience negatively, and just didn't get me hyped about the job, which is a shame since I was super interested. But his attitude made me want to check out completely. Maybe I'm not cut out for that kind of sales, but I've never had an interview like it, easily the worst experience.

Inside Sales Representative
I first talked to the recruiter on the phone and then got scheduled to talk to the hiring manager pretty fast. After those two phone calls, they invited me for a final in-person interview at the office. For my final interview, I met with the CEO, the SVP of Sales, my direct manager, and several team members. The questions were tough, but I felt ready and had enough chances to share my experiences. Everyone I met during my interview day was smart, interested, and seemed really committed to hiring the right person. Culture is obviously important, so be ready to discuss how you think you'd contribute (and check out the core values on the website!). The recruiter was super helpful and great to work with throughout the whole thing. She got back to me when she said she would, told me what to prepare for, and was a good source of info about working at Panorama. It was a tough interview, but the whole experience made me excited about working at Panorama, so I accepted the offer right away!

Sales
This company had the longest interview process out of the Ed tech leaders I interviewed with. It was easy though, with several panels. I was also interviewing them and decided it wasn't the right culture fit for me. The sales team leaders were nice, but the role seemed underwhelming. My advice to leadership is to hire people who can lead, coach, and close. Experience and knowledge are crucial in Ed tech.
- Describe a sales scenario and your approach to it.
- How do you collaborate with other sales team members?
- Can you share an example of working with your sales team?
