Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Panera Bread.
Trainer
I had an initial meeting with the General Manager to discuss the Trainer position. Then, I spoke with the District Manager. They asked general questions about my interests and didn't pose any difficult queries.
- Can you describe your leadership experience?
Trainer
It's usually a two or three part process. One manager interviews you, and if they like you, they'll invite you back to meet another manager. They can't really ask personal questions, so they ask general questions to check your enthusiasm. They're really just trying to find people who have "Panera warmth".
- Do you have a favorite Panera item or dessert?
Trainer
The interview process was super simple. They just ask you questions about your past work history and some questions about yourself to get an idea of how you would be as an employee. Panera is a fast paced environment and requires individuals that can handle stress filled hours of constant work.
- In one year's time, where do you envision your career path leading you?
