The interview happened at the restaurant and felt both professional and casual. It was easy talking with the recruiter. I didn't end up taking the job then, but the experience was pleasant. I suspect they promote from within, and my aim was to step in as a GM.

A recruiter reached out to me. Before telling me what company the posting was specifically for, he insisted on “re-working” my resume. He removed my most recent relevant experience and filled it with buzz words. I backed out of the process after my first phone interview with the recruiter because he was making the process convoluted and difficult.

Behavioral Presentation

The whole process took about three and a half weeks, with four interviews in total. The last one was a phone interview on a Friday. I haven't heard anything back about an offer yet. The interviewer on the phone seemed to be eating while talking, which was awkward. He also went on a five-minute unsolicited rant about supplemental insurance and maternity leave, which felt sexist. I was left hanging all weekend. Then on Wednesday, HR called and said they chose another candidate. There's a better, more ethical way to interview for management positions than this.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Does staying at one company your whole career truly make you better or smarter than others? It could mean less life and work experience overall, and shouldn't give you the right to look down on someone with more education and experience.
