- Tell me about a time you achieved results that surpassed your expectations.
Engineer
The interview process was pretty standard, starting with a phone screen, then some video interviews, followed by an in-person panel. However, after all that, I was completely ghosted. I put in a lot of time and effort preparing and interviewing across several rounds, only to hear nothing back. It's been over a month with no feedback or updates. It's really discouraging to feel invisible after giving a company your time, energy, and hope. People have jobs, families, and bills, and this lack of basic communication and respect is not okay. Recruiters and hiring teams need to remember this interview process is a big deal for candidates, not just for them. Step it up.
- Tell me about a time you disagreed with a teammate or coworker and how you handled it.
Product Engineer
The interview process included a phone screen with a recruiter, then a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was an onsite interview where I met with the hiring manager and a senior manager. After the onsite, it took two weeks to get a decision, and I found out they went with an internal candidate. This was frustrating because it was supposed to be an entry-level role, and the job description didn't match what they were actually looking for. The hiring manager at the facility was unpleasant and disengaged throughout the interview. Panduit uses a third-party recruiter, Accolo, and I worked with a great recruiter there who improved the experience. It felt like Panduit wasted my time by not giving internal candidates priority, especially for an entry-level position. I can't imagine working there if this is how they treat people. The hiring manager was indecisive and disrespectful to candidates.
- Describe your decision-making process, particularly when a quick decision is needed.
