This was the longest and most unprofessional hiring process I've ever been through for a Senior Product Manager role at PandaDoc. It took months and felt like they were more interested in keeping themselves busy than finding the right person. There were way too many stages, and they often repeated questions from earlier rounds, which felt like busywork. The take-home assignment was ridiculous – it asked for a full product strategy, which is work you should be paid for. Communication was terrible; the recruiter never gave feedback or followed up when they said they would, and I always had to chase them. It was unprofessional and a waste of my time. I wouldn't recommend applying here if you're an experienced product person.

It was a multi-stage process. The 1st stage was a Talent Acquisition screener, followed by a Hiring Manager interview. Then there were two peer interviews, one with a Product Designer and another with a Lead Software Engineer. The final stage involved a task and a panel interview. The task required some market research, which I felt I didn't perform well on due to the time limit. During the task presentation, there were 5 people on the call, and some didn't participate when I asked questions, possibly due to time constraints. Many interviewers were also late for this last stage.

I had 3 interviews and really liked the initial one and meeting the hiring manager. The interview questions were good and it felt more like a conversation where they wanted to help you succeed. They were challenging and detailed, but in a way that if you were qualified, you should be able to answer. Feedback was quick, and I appreciated the materials provided about company culture and values. However, I sensed that employees weren't fully in sync with those stated values. My final interview was quite different from the first two; I didn't feel comfortable asking questions, and the interviewer seemed disengaged. Overall, the process was great and transparent, with excellent communication via email!
