Senior Manager
The hiring process was really all over the place and just not professional. The first call kept getting rescheduled, and they'd let me know super late. This kept happening with later interviews too. Then, one of the interviews got cancelled right before it was supposed to happen because they had already hired someone. This kind of disorganization makes it hard for people to want to work here. My advice is to make scheduling more reliable so candidates don't waste their time. Also, make sure everyone knows if a job is still open before you schedule more interviews for it.
- What draws you to this particular position?
Office Manager
The interview for the office manager role was pretty tough. They wanted to see how I handled organizing things, if I could lead, and how I solved problems. The interviewer seemed to like my background and how I communicate.
- What's your experience and knowledge of the local market?
Manager
I really wish I had paid attention to the bad reviews on Glassdoor because they were completely accurate. This company's interview process was honestly one of the worst I've ever been through. After I applied, they got back to me pretty quickly with an interview. But, their scheduling tool was a nightmare to use. I picked out my available times and then emailed the recruiter saying I didn't have many options, but they just sent an automatic confirmation and no reply. I ended up having four interviews total, and each time I had to chase the recruiter for any info on how to prepare or what to expect. They kept saying each interview would be about "Cultural Fit," but that wasn't what actually happened. The first chat with the recruiter was super basic, just asking a few things about my past and what I've done. It was only about 15 minutes, and she said I'd move on. When I asked questions, I got these really vague answers and was told the hiring manager would give me more details later. The interview with the hiring manager was the only decent part, honestly – it was well organized, clear, and to the point. We really hit it off, actually, and found we had similar ideas on how to lead a team. But then the interviews with the key stakeholders, which they again called "Cultural Fit," were a total mess. They had no real structure or clear objective, and it felt like they were just there to be included. Before my final interview with the VP, I tried reaching out to the recruiter again for some info, but all I got was an out-of-office message with a different contact person. I messaged that person but didn't hear back until the next day, and even then, I got some weird excuse for the delay. The VP interview was the absolute worst. He was like a robot, seemed really biased, and had his own ideas for the job that didn't match the description at all. He shot down any different ideas I brought up and asked questions that were way off base for the role. When I tried to ask him questions, his responses were unclear and often didn't make sense, maybe because of a language issue. It really gave me a bad feeling about the company's top leadership. I never got any feedback after my interviews, just a generic email saying the job was already filled.
