Sales
I conduct training on making a positive candidate impression. I usually begin by asking about their worst interview experiences. Then, I share my own, which was with the former CEO of PageUp in Singapore around 2015. It was essentially a 3-hour psychometric test. I went during my lunch break, not expecting it to take that long. The interviewer was terrible. I knew I wouldn't get the job, nor would I want to work for that person. I always conclude my story by discussing the impact of a negative impression. In my current role, PageUp approached me to sell their services. My initial thought was to bring them to my office and keep them for 3 hours before declining, but I chose to be more polite. I just said no thanks, thinking to myself, never in a million years.

Customer Success Manager
I went through the full interview cycles at PageUp - Clinch Employee Connections. The process started with an HR interview, followed by meetings with the hiring manager, the CSM team, and included a presentation. Although I didn't receive an offer, I was given feedback after each stage. HR also called me personally to share the final decision and explain the feedback in detail. It was a positive and human experience throughout, with everyone being open and friendly, eager to learn about my skills and experience. The product and its clients are highly regarded, and I recommend the team and their work.

Implementation Specialist
I was messaged through LinkedIn about a position. I asked for the job description, and he said they were updating it and didn't have it. We had a call, and he asked what I did. Once I explained my job and work experience, I asked what the position was, and he said it was essentially what I was doing. Then he said he would take my information back and I would hear one way or another. They wanted to hire by April, and it was early March. The whole experience was strange. How do you interview people if you don't even have job details to discuss? I never heard back from them. Totally unprofessional.
- Can you describe your main job responsibilities?
Technical Account Manager
Super long process! They're really careful about who they bring on as they're growing in the US. First there was a screening call, then an interview, another interview, a discussion about aptitude/personality test results and an 'interview', and finally a trip to NY for an in-person meeting. The only bummer was getting the benefits info and then waiting two weeks only to find out they hired someone else at the last minute. But overall, it was a great experience and the people were good.
- What are two weaknesses your hiring manager would identify about you?
