I completed some paperwork (like reference checks) and submitted my resume in both French and English. Then I went for an interview where the advisor took time to get to know me and really understand my career goals. We conducted part of the interview in English. She offered me some advice and even suggested some unusual but interesting positions.

The first part was a phone interview, it was pretty basic and lasted about 20 minutes, just going over my past work. Then, I got invited to come in the next day for what lasted about an hour. This part felt a bit overwhelming because they took charge, but it was mostly informative, like a conversation.
