Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PageGroup.
Business Developer
Michael Page really prioritizes hiring skilled individuals, and their recruitment process is quite extensive, reflecting how professional their recruiters are. Typically, there are at least three interviews. While the interviews are friendly, they are also very thorough because the recruiters are very familiar with the candidate profiles. I want to mention that the recruiter called me directly to give me the result, even though it was a rejection. They explained in detail why my application wasn't moving forward. This feedback from the recruiter helps me identify weaknesses in my application and improve myself.
- What interests you most about working at Michael Page?
Business Developer
The process has 3 steps. First, you meet with HR. Then, the 2nd meeting is with the Manager. The 3rd one is with the Director of the Department. They gave me a very good impression. They were clear about the business, the activities that needed to be done and career's perspectives.
- Tell me about the target you achieved in your previous role.
- Can you share an example of a difficult situation you faced and how you managed to overcome it?
Business Developer
I had a first in-person meeting with HR, then another with a business manager. The interview focused solely on numbers. It was clear the interviewer wasn't interested in me as a person or my past experiences, but only in whether I could increase revenue, focusing on quantity over quality. Just by having the interview, I could see the work environment for myself, which confirmed the reviews I'd read on Glassdoor.
- What are your motivations?
