Key Account Manager
I had several interviews with Michael Page and the treatment was always the same; the interviewer has to conduct a certain number of interviews, presumably because it's a target, regardless of whether the candidate has a chance to advance in the search. In this specific case, the interviewer knew my salary range and still made me go to an in-person interview only to tell me my salary was above what they were offering for the position. When I asked how a Key Account Manager position could pay what they were offering, they excused themselves by saying their client targets unemployed people (which wasn't my case). It was embarrassing, not just for the interviewer but for the company. This interview was one of many I've had with MP over the years, always with the same outcome. They don't even notify you via email that you're not moving forward in the search. I decided from that moment on not to accept any other offers from them. In all the interviews I participated in with them (surely 4 or 5), I felt mistreated and used. Never again.
- Can you tell me about your work experience, starting from your most recent role to your first?
- What is your current salary?
Key Account Manager
It was long, tiring, and disorganized! There were 4 stages: first, an interview with area coordinators, then with the manager, then with the director, and finally HR. I was blocked by HR! I was approved by all the sector management positions and got stopped by HR. It didn't make sense to me. The process took almost 3 months; they took a long time to schedule the next stages. The interview is pretty standard, always with two parts: in English and Portuguese.
- Why did you choose Page?
- What skills do you possess that can benefit our company?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Account Manager
Jen from Michael Page reached out about a role with her client. We chatted about my background and career goals. She invited me to meet with her and her colleagues at their Chicago office. Jen is a great recruiter who genuinely cares about her candidates. Given my 4 years in recruiting, it was awesome to connect with someone who is as dedicated as I am. Although I decided to pursue account management on the client side instead of staying with Michael Page, Jen kept me informed about her client's interview process and offered great support. I highly recommend Jen if you're looking for a recruiter at Michael Page. She's experienced and knows how to help you find your ideal job.
