First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pactiv Evergreen.
Customer Service Manager
It's a 4-part interview process: First, a 30-minute phone screen with a friendly and thorough recruiter. Then, a 30-minute video interview focusing on culture-fit questions. After that, another 30-minute video interview with the Hiring Manager where they'll ask leadership-focused questions. Be ready for a quick chat where they might cut you off or rush your answers. Finally, a video interview with a panel of 2 interviewers who will check your collaboration skills and how you make data-driven decisions. Just a heads-up, if you don't get selected, don't expect any feedback.
- Could you describe a leadership lesson or practice you learned from another leader that you liked and have since incorporated into your own leadership approach?
Forklift Operator
I came in and he introduced himself. I told him a little bit about myself. He asked questions about my experience and told me about the job description. The interview was great to me and I hope it was for the hiring supervisor. I hope to hear back from someone soon. My name is Ritchie Earl, if there is anything else you need from me on my end to get the rest of the process going here, my number is 980-616-9328.
- What would you do if you had a load on your forks and someone told you there was a leak?
Supply Chain Analyst
I went through three interview rounds. First, there was a screening. Then, I had a 1-hour interview with the Director of Operations. The last round was scheduled with the Sr. Director of Supply Chain, but it got cancelled five minutes before it was supposed to start. The recruiter called and told me they were looking for someone more experienced, which is fine, but I thought they knew my experience level from the previous round. It would have been courteous to go through with the interview rather than cancelling last minute. The recruiter was also unprofessional because she cancelled the meeting without explanation, then called and said my experience didn't match. She said 'I hope you understand' and hung up before I could respond.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
- Given a supply chain problem, how would you use data to find a solution?
Industrial Designer
The interview process began with two very brief calls (less than 10 minutes each) with the internal recruiter, who asked me to call him. During these calls, he was very curt, frequently interrupted me, and once even said "yea yea yea, I have 3 other things I'm doing right now" while we were on a scheduled call. It felt like he didn't want to talk to me and saw me as a burden. Despite this poor interaction, he did move me forward to speak with the hiring team, and those conversations were positive. However, the recruiter's unprofessionalism created a negative first impression of the interview process at Pactiv.
- Can you tell me about your career aspirations?
