First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PACT Pharma.

My interview was during the Covid-19 pandemic in April/May 2020, so it was all done remotely online via phone and Zoom. It started with an HR recruiter screening call. About a week later, I had a Zoom meeting with the hiring manager. Then, roughly 10 days after that, I had a comprehensive panel interview. This panel interview was about a 4-hour Zoom session, broken into seven 30-minute meetings with the hiring manager, potential teammates, the director, and HR. The team seemed really passionate about science. HR also gave a lot of useful info about how onboarding would work with social distancing.

First, I had a phone call with the recruiter to learn about PACT Pharma. Then, the hiring manager chatted with me about the job I applied for and my research experience. After that, I had a 3-hour "on site" interview over Zoom with 12 people from the department and HR at the end. They were all really friendly and understanding, and really adapted well to the pandemic situation. They were clear about what they're looking for and asked behavioral and technical questions to see if I'd be a good fit. Basically, just know the company and be able to talk about your background with them.
- Can you tell me what you know about the role you're applying for?
- What's your research background?

I started with a recruiter call from PACT who gave me the lowdown on the role, the company, and how things would go. Next up, I had a phone chat with some of the team leads. We dove deeper into the job, my history, and they threw in some behavioral questions. Then, I headed for an on-site, which was pretty packed with 10 people. It was all laid out nicely, and everyone I talked to was cool. Lots of technical and behavioral stuff came up. The whole thing with PACT felt pretty seamless and fast. Once they checked my references, they made me an offer. They were also really flexible about my move, especially with the immigration stuff and handing over my old duties.
- Can you elaborate on your past experiences and background?
- What is your level of familiarity with operating liquid handlers?
