Field Service Engineer
The initial phone interview seemed to go pretty well. The person I spoke with was friendly and asked a lot of questions. It lasted about 20 minutes. They mentioned they'd be in touch by the end of the week, but I haven't heard back yet. The interviewer was very direct and to the point. I really thought I'd get a call back either way, you know, to know if I moved on to the next stage.
- Could you tell me about your field service experience?
- Can you talk about your willingness and ability to travel?
- What's your availability for on-call duties?
Field Service Engineer
Saw a Craigslist ad for the Field Service Engineer job and applied. Got a call the next day to schedule a phone interview, which was supposed to be about 45-60 minutes. The interview seemed to be going okay until they asked about my experience as a field service tech. I don't have any experience in this specific role, and my resume made that clear. The ad I responded to didn't specify any required years of experience. Once the interviewer realized I lacked the necessary experience, they cut the interview short to around 15 minutes. It felt like a waste of both our time.

Field Service Engineer
It was a lengthy in-person interview process. They performed background and drug testing. A field test was not part of the process. It seems they are looking to bring in qualified individuals at an entry-level. The interviewers were friendly, and the experience wasn't stressful. Overall, I felt the management did a good job.
- Have you had previous work travel experience?
