The recruiter reached out with the wrong name, which was a bit awkward, but they moved on without an apology. Overall, the process involved three separate meetings, including a panel interview, and these were all set up efficiently. However, there was a lack of communication regarding the timeline, with vague responses like 'We received many candidates, this will take some time.' Ultimately, after two weeks, I received a standard rejection email. My advice is to ensure you have a clear understanding of the role before contacting candidates.

The interview process began with a recruiter phone screen that went well. Then, I had a Zoom interview with the regional manager, which was also positive. The manager then set up another Zoom interview with his colleague for the next day. This interview felt combative, with the interviewer seeming bothered by my job-related questions. After a week of silence, I followed up with the recruiter. A few days later, I was asked to do a one-hour site visit with an RSE. I attended the site visit, which was just okay. I haven't heard anything in three weeks since. It seems like they string candidates along and then ghost them, based on other reviews. I would appreciate a response, even if I'm not a fit.

Finally got a second interview with the team, and I could tell the hiring manager was scrolling LinkedIn during my interview. They seemed uninterested and argumentative the whole time. It's been about six weeks, and I still haven't heard anything. I ended up taking a less desirable job elsewhere that actually communicated with me. I don't mind not being a good fit, but at least reply when a candidate asks for an update. Their reputation for ghosting candidates is basically a meme in the community and it's well-deserved.
