The staff was welcoming as I walked in, and I got a tour of the office. I met with 3 different members of upper management, and everyone was very kind. That's the general vibe here, that everyone is encouraging and nice to be around.

The interview process includes an initial phone interview, followed by a sales role-play over the phone using provided study materials. After this, there's an in-person interview. This in-person stage involves a 1-hour role-playing call simulation where you'll act as an SC, followed by actual cold calls to professors, with self-assessment after each activity. You'll also interview with a training team Strategy Consultant and the CEO. Throughout the process, everyone from the recruiter to the CEO is enthusiastic and welcoming, eager to discuss your career aspirations and their expectations for the role. The company emphasizes questions.

I sent in my application online via Angel List. A Packback talent rep got in touch. We had a brief phone chat where we talked about my past work and what I'm passionate about. We both felt the next step, the sales pitch role play, would be a good fit. The sales pitch itself was pretty straightforward. I had to present Packback to a fictional professor. A few days after that, I was invited for an in-person interview. During this visit, I got to shadow a Strategy Consultant and chat with some actual professors. Following that, I had interviews with the COO and a sales manager. Got my offer a few days later. I really liked how smooth the whole process was, and I appreciated the chance to experience the role for about an hour.
