I had a phone interview, and then two in-person interviews. It was pretty straightforward, mostly behavioral questions. They also gave me a long behavioral test during the first in-person meeting. They basically told me I had the offer at the last interview, but since I had a trip planned that was longer than they liked, I ended up getting rejected.

This was a really good first interview. I got a lot of information about what the job involves and who I'd be reporting to. Talking to the hiring manager is different than talking to your direct supervisor, but I'm scheduled for a second interview soon.

Behavioral Other

It started with a 30 min phone call with a recruiter to get acquainted and for me to learn about the role. After that, an in-person interview was set up. During the interview, we went over some of the previous phone conversation points and they asked some more detailed questions. I knew from online reviews that there was a personality assessment, but I didn't realize it was a big packet that required handwritten answers. These answers needed to be pretty deep and well-thought-out, which was fine, but it took a significant amount of time. I submitted my packet and left. I felt good about it, and while I wasn't sure if I would accept the job if offered, I was eager to hear back. It's now been a month with no word. I would have at least expected a rejection email, especially since I invested 2.5 hours in the interview process. I also noticed the job posting reappeared on LinkedIn labeled "high priority." Rejection is tough, but silence can be even tougher.
