Data Engineer Intern
The first round was a 30-min webcam interview with a real person. The interviewer was someone in their early-career so the whole conversation was pretty chill. Remember to check if it is a recorded interview or a live one since the platform was Hirevue which could be assumed as a recorded one.
- Can you share a project you are proud of?
Data Engineer
The process was super smooth. I got a call from HR on the first day to schedule a chat, and we swapped contacts. The next day, I had a 45-minute phone call with HR that went really well. HR then set up a phone interview with the Manager for the day after. The following week, HR arranged an in-person interview, which included technical and behavioral questions, plus some whiteboard work. This whole thing lasted about 4 hours and I met with 6 interviewers. It felt like a great conversation, and I learned a ton about the role, the company, and the team.
- Could you define data modeling?
- What aspects of this role appeal to you?
- What motivates your interest in working at Pacific Life?
Data Engineer
I had 1 phone screening and 1 phone interview with the hiring manager. I got a verbal offer within 20 minutes. I asked to increase the base salary and the next day they offered the position to someone else.
- Can you tell me about your experience building data pipelines?
