Behavioral Case

I had a face-to-face interview with the MD and director. It was easy and not technical, more like a behavioral and situation-based interview where I had to answer using my experience in the field.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a PACCAR internal recruiter who was unresponsive and missed calls. Then, I interviewed with two directors who seemed disengaged, constantly on their laptops or phones. They didn't offer business cards and rushed through the interview, leaving little time for my questions. One director left early. The recruiter never provided feedback or the outcome, even after I followed up multiple times via calls and emails. My time felt disrespected. Despite their professional appearance, their conduct was unprofessional.

Behavioral

I applied and a couple of weeks later I had a recruiter call. Then, a couple of weeks after that, I was invited for an in person interview which took the better part of a day. It was a nice experience overall. However, I wasn't sure if the company culture was the right fit for me. Since I haven't heard back, I'm assuming I won't be getting an offer, which is fine because I'm relieved not to have to make that decision myself. It wasn't quite the right fit, especially when the hiring manager's answer to why he liked working there was 'structure,' which isn't really my style. Still, the people I met were very nice. This was my first interview in a long time outside of my current company, and I really appreciated the experience and the pleasant interview process with lovely people.
