First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PACCAR.
Electronics Intern
It was 2 technical rounds and 1 HR round. The first round covered basics of electronics, and the second round had project-related questions. HR asked about daily habits and how I plan my day. The difficulty was easy if you communicated well.
- Can you code schematics?
- Do you know Python?
- What are the fundamentals of electronics?
Intern
The interview process was great, with behavioral "star" questions focusing on personal qualities, problem-solving approaches, and teamwork. There were two rounds, and an offer came weeks after the second round. However, the overall process took too long, spanning several months.

Purchasing Intern
I had an initial screening phone call that went well and lasted about 30 minutes. About two months after that, I was asked to fly out for a series of final interviews. Unfortunately, they asked me to cover my own travel expenses, and since I only got a week's notice, the flight ended up being very pricey. Once I got to Bellevue, I spent 3 hours at their corporate offices. I met with an HR person, followed by three separate interviews with different managers. The company culture is quite distinctive and might not suit everyone, but they were very open in addressing any questions I had. Most of the questions they asked me were behavioral or related to my resume. The day after these interviews, they contacted me and extended an offer.
- How does your previous experience align with the responsibilities of this internship?
