After I got selected, I had 4 calls in total. First, a screening call with someone from the Talent team. Then, interviews with senior leaders who I would work with if I got the job. Finally, I was given an offer, but it wasn't what I expected or what I had told them.

So I was really excited about this role and company, but the final interview experience was so bad that I'm no longer interested. The first part was a 30-min video call. It was outsourced and felt rushed. The interviewer spent a lot of time talking about his plans for Oyster, which wasn't really relevant. Aside from that, the conversation seemed okay. Next, I had to film myself answering questions using Loom, which felt unnecessary since those questions could have been asked in the first interview. It seemed more like a test of the software. Then came the final video interview with the Director. She was only a week into the job. She was 10 minutes late and joined the call without any of my information prepared, so I had to explain my recruitment process while she looked for my CV and notes. Because of this, she didn't really listen to me. At the end, when I asked if she had any questions, she said I hadn't explained my sourcing experience, which I had. Also, the interviewer from the first call had mentioned that sourcing might not even be part of the job if he had his way, so it wouldn't be important. I felt uneasy because I could tell she wasn't very interested in what I had to say. A couple of hours later, I got a rejection email that just said, 'Sorry you haven't been successful, many factors contributed to this decision.' No specific feedback, which I think is lazy, especially after putting in so much effort. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

The interview process was smooth and the people I met were professional and friendly. I got to meet the key people involved with the role and learned more about the job and the company. I really enjoyed the whole experience and was happy to get and accept an offer from Oyster!
