Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OXXO.
Management Trainee
They just asked questions about my resume, and that was it. It wasn't professional. It only took about 5 minutes. They didn't even bother asking proper questions for the role I applied for.
- What makes you want this job?
Manager
When I joined, it was very difficult to get into Oxxo. I remember there were 25 candidates for only 3 vacancies. The selection process lasted 3 days. In the last phase, there were only 5 of us left, and the recruiter told us that he thanked everyone for their participation, but that in reality, only 3 would have the opportunity to be part of this great company! He also said that he would call the people he selected by phone the next day, and to those he didn't call, thank you very much.
- Why do you deserve the opportunity to belong to this company and not someone else?
Maintenance Manager
They provide the required maintenance concepts and you have to quote each one with a unit price. They ask for things related to electricity, plumbing, false ceilings, refrigeration, concrete, drywall, glass, painting and more, everything related to the maintenance of their branches. It is a catalog of around 100 services.
- How many years of experience do you possess?
