Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

Applied online mid-September and heard back from a recruiter about a week later. The recruiter set up a Zoom interview with a manager. During the Zoom, the manager asked 'Why OwnBackup?' and to talk about myself and expand on my resume. There was time for questions and it went well. Afterward, the recruiter called and said I needed to complete an online sales skills assessment (multiple choice with math). I passed and was told I'd move on. The second Zoom interview was a mock sales pitch with the same manager, where I played an SDR pitching to a Salesforce admin to set up a meeting. I was nervous but she said I did a great job and was prepared. Then I spoke with a sales team lead about the role and day-to-day. I felt confident after passing these Zoom interviews. The manager said one more interview with a higher-up would be it if all went well. I was disappointed to get a rejection email two days later. They sent a generic rejection saying they chose candidates that 'most closely matches the job requirements'. It felt like a waste of time and they weren't transparent about the reason for rejection.
