First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Owens Corning.
Supply Chain Intern
This company has a basic interview process compared to others. The interview lasted about 30 minutes, but I guess it could be longer or shorter. I'd suggest preparing by knowing your resume and what specifically interests you about the company.
- What makes you want to work for Owens Corning?
Global Sourcing Manager
The interview process kicked off with an HR screening, which I felt went well, and surprisingly had tougher questions than the hiring manager did. After three weeks, I interviewed with the director (the hiring manager). It seemed like he was seeing my CV for the first time, and he didn't ask many questions. The interview was scheduled for 40 minutes but only lasted 30. I ended up walking him through my CV from past to present. He asked about how I manage a specific commodity and my reasons for wanting to work with it. The next step was an onsite interview.
- Tell me about why you applied for this position and why you think you'd be a good fit.
- What's your take on the O-C culture?
- How do you create a sense of belonging for people?
Supply Chain Intern
A recruiter contacted me via email and we scheduled an interview. It was on Zoom, and two recruiters asked me a bunch of questions about myself. About two weeks after that, I got an email with their offer.
- Can you share a time you faced a hardship and how you overcame it?
- What's a mistake you've made and what did you learn from it?
- Tell me about a time you worked with a diverse group of people.
