Both interviews happened super close together which was awesome! The people were really nice and asked some great questions! They also were super helpful answering any questions I had. The recruiting team was also very helpful in figuring out the best time for me to give my two weeks notice so everything went smoothly. Excited to start working with these great people!

The interview process started with a phone screening and then went online to zoom with multiple employees. This happened over about two weeks. The people I spoke with were very professional. I rated the experience neutral because I had to reach out to find out I wasn't considered. Transparency is very important and had I not reached out, I would've been ghosted. I felt not being considered was best for me and my future endeavors, especially for what I look for in a company as far as transparency! Other than that, the experience was great and simple.

The first step was a quick phone chat to see if I was still interested, check if I had the basic skills, and maybe ask a few initial things about myself. Then, there was a more detailed interview, likely with the hiring manager, digging deeper into my skills, past work, and why I want this job. After that, I had more interviews with various team people and managers. Each of these focused on different things like my technical skills, if I'd fit in with the team, or how I solve problems. The last part, if I got that far, would be a final chat with some higher-ups or people who make the hiring decisions.

The hiring experience at Outset was really thorough and gave me a lot of insight. I got to talk with people from both the clinical side and sales, which was great for understanding the company culture and how the teams work together. I'm really glad they had such a detailed interview process because it helped me learn more about myself and figure out if I'd be a good fit. Most of the questions were about me and my skills, but they also threw in some behavioral questions that made the talks more interesting. Talking with people at all levels was the best part and what made me choose Outset over another big medical device company.
