First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Outlier AI.
Artificial Intelligence Engineer
They looked at my resume and asked me more about my skills and experience in the AI engineering field. Right after the interview, they recommended me.
- Can you tell me about your expertise and skills in AI?
AI Consultant
Had a 30 minute virtual interview on Zoom. They asked a tough game theory question. It started with the usual 'Tell me about yourself,' and then we jumped straight into the live coding assessment.
- Tell me about yourself
- Can you solve this difficult game theory problem?
- Please complete this live coding assessment.
AI Engineer
Their automated identification process is absolute rubbish. It will falsely flag you as failing for reasons not listed. Most competent companies have the option to have a human review the identification after it failed. My only guess as to why this failed is due to my beard. While my ID has no beard I currently have one. This has resulted in failures on similar systems in the past, but in those cases the companies were smart enough to ensure humans are also available to review failed applications manually at least one time. But not outlier. If this is the type of AI product they want to be known for, I would avoid them.
