Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Outgive.
Intern
The process was split into three main steps. First, a chat with HR about cultural fit and my academic background. Then, a 'Live Coding' technical challenge, where I had to implement a simple REST API using Spring Boot and handle exceptions. Finally, an interview with the Tech Lead covering Object-Oriented Programming concepts, Dependency Injection, and how I'd design a database for an e-commerce system. The whole process was quick and the interviewers were very clear about what they were looking for.
- Could you explain how Inversion of Control (IoC) and Dependency Injection work within the Spring Framework?
Intern
First I spoke with a recruiter to see if I was a good fit. Then we did a technical interview, it was a hard phone interview because the audio was bad. The problem was pretty hard but would've been way easier if it was explained better.
- A typical LeetCode hard dynamic programming problem
Intern
The interview was a very standard process. They gave me a call and asked me some questions which I responded to. It was a brief process and didn't take much time. After that, I waited to hear back, and I did, but ultimately I didn't get the position.
- Can you tell me about your work experience?
