The interview was pretty chill. Mostly they asked about my aspirations and career goals. The hiring manager led the discussion, and someone from the front desk was there too, who asked a couple of questions. I was supposed to hear back the next week, but I never got any feedback, not even after I followed up via email about my application status.

The interview process was actually quite enjoyable. Outbound Engine hosted informational sessions where potential employees could walk the sales floor during work hours, ask questions, and learn more about Outbound Engine. After the info session, I was offered an interview with the SVP. He is a confident man, and knows how to provoke you to offer thoughtful responses. I thoroughly enjoyed my interview process.

Today I interviewed with OutboundEngine. First, I spoke with Kylie, who was very nice and informative. She explained the company's vision and current status in detail. She also warned me that not everyone understands Scott's communication style and that people sometimes leave thinking he dislikes them. My meeting with Scott started normally, with typical questions about my resume and my motivation for pursuing a sales career. As the conversation progressed, Scott was very open about his own career journey. His questions were very direct and probing, asking things most interviewers wouldn't. He analyzed my career path, my decisions, and suggested alternative choices I could have made to improve. Although I'm not revealing his exact questions, it was one of the best interviews I've experienced. Regardless of the outcome, my talk with Scott gave me a clearer perspective. It highlighted the importance of motivation and working hard to achieve my goals.
