First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OU Health.
Internal Communications Specialist
The interviews went well, and OU Health was responsive and seemed eager to hire throughout the process, clearly communicating their timeline and sticking to it. In the third interview, I was told that the third round was "just a formality" to "ensure it was a fit culture-wise." We did the interview (I thought it went well again), and was assured that I would hear back with a final decision within a week -- that never happened. OU Health completely ghosted me, entirely ignoring my email follow-up and phone call follow-up. It has been a month since I followed up and over a month since the third interview. I still haven't received a formal dismissal or communication of any kind -- ironic, considering this position was on the internal communications team. I was impressed an eager to work for OU Health at first, but now, I count myself lucky for avoiding an organization that clearly has communication issues and is very disrespectful to candidates. Any communications professionals considering working for OU Health should exercise great caution, but here is how the process went for me if you choose to proceed: There were three interviews. Interview 1 -- one-on-one interview with the would-be supervisor. Interview 2 -- a three-on-one interview with two prospective coworkers and a different team manager. Interview 3 -- a one-on-one interview with C-suite leadership.

Nurse Technician
the hiring manager was really nice and made me feel comfortable asking questions. The whole process moved along super fast and everything went smoothly. The recruiter was also really quick to respond. I really liked their attitudes and the general vibe.

- Describe a situation where you had to use your skills as a nurse tech or patient care tech.
IT Department
The interview process involved 4 rounds which felt like they were dragged out. Even though I got extremely positive indications after each step, I was eventually sent a form letter rejection. The unprofessionalism from OU's HR department is telling. If you're doing your research and find this, don't get your hopes up. It felt very underhanded.
- Questions related to IT that were specific to this particular role.
Manager
It was a bunch of interviews that didn't really make sense, and the questions they asked were not appropriate for the role. The position wasn't what they said it would be. The whole process was very disorganized and not scripted at all. It wasn't informative, and it took way too long. The interviewers were either late or not prepared. They asked questions that didn't even apply to the job.
