First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oshkosh Corporation.
Technical Engineer
I was contacted through my university's job board and the whole process was done over the phone. There was an initial contact interview, then a technical interview in English with the design team, and finally I had an interview with my potential coordinator and direct boss. Except for the HR interview, the rest were with more than one person.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What are your salary expectations?
- What are your career aspirations?
Design Engineer
So I had a quick chat on the phone first, then they had me come in for an onsite interview. Once I got there, I first spoke with someone from HR for about 30 minutes. After that, I met with two engineers for an hour. Then we all went to lunch, and I got a tour of the plant to see how things are made and check out some of the products. We chatted about the job, and they asked me some general interview questions.
- Can you describe your role in a new initiative you were a part of?
- Tell me about a time you were involved in a new initiative and what your specific contribution was.
Engineer
I got an email about 1 week before the interview to schedule a date. Then the manager and another employee called me for an interview. It lasted about 45 minutes, including time for me to ask questions. They asked general behavioral questions and questions about my past experience and school projects.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated leadership?
