First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oscar Health.
Operations Analyst
I was contacted by email after applying online. The first interview was with HR to see if I met the basic requirements. Then I talked to the hiring manager, who was really nice and professional. The next stage was a panel interview where I spoke with 4 people for 30 minutes each. Everyone was very nice and professional. HR called me about 2 days later and wanted me to interview for another position they thought would be a better fit for my background. I went straight to the panel interview for this one. Again, I spoke with 4 different people for 30 minutes each. At this point, I had spent 5 hours on this process. HR called and said they felt I was overqualified for the two positions I applied for but wanted me to interview for a third position. I was getting a bit tired of the whole thing but agreed to look at the role. I got an email and it seems like a good fit based on my education and current experience. It's been a long process, and I don't know what the outcome will be.

Operations Analyst
HR scheduled an intro call to go over the role and my experience. The next day, I got an email for a call with the hiring manager. The call went great, I shared a lot about my projects and the manager seemed impressed. The day after, I received an email saying they were pursuing other candidates. I was confused because the conversation with the hiring manager went fantastically, and they even appreciated my deep dives and articulation. I don't understand why I wasn't shortlisted. I emailed HR for the reason so I could work on it, but haven't heard back. Terrible recruiting process.
- Can you tell me about the projects you've worked on?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Operations Analyst
I applied through LinkedIn and a recruiter named Manny contacted me pretty quickly to schedule a chat. I had a phone call with him, then another with the hiring manager, and finally an interview panel where I encountered typical behavioral questions, a SQL coding session, and a live operations case study. Everyone I spoke with was really open and nice, and it was obvious they enjoy their jobs. Manny was available to answer all my questions throughout the whole thing. I accepted an offer, and the entire process wrapped up in about a month.
- Can you share an instance of the most challenging or complex issue you've successfully resolved in your professional experience?
