First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ORIX USA.
Summer Analyst
The interview process involved 3 rounds. Round 1 was half behavioral and half technical. Rounds 2 and 3 were all behavioral. The main goal was to assess your interest in the firm and your fit for the program.
- Can you explain your interest in ORIX?
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
- Perform a simple valuation.
Analyst
It was a 3 round process. The first round was a mix of technical and behavioral questions. The second and third rounds were purely behavioral. Everyone was really nice throughout the whole process, and they mainly just wanted to learn who you are and why you are interested in joining them.
- Can you explain the relationship between revenue and free cash flow?
- What is your motivation for wanting to join ORIX?
- Why are you interested in the Dallas location?
Analyst
So I had 2 phone interviews first, then went to a superday. The superday was like 6-7 interviews. I also had a case study to do beforehand, which they used for some of the interviews. The superday had both fit interviews and technical questions about the case study and market efficiencies, and stuff like that.
- Can you tell me about yourself and walk me through your resume?
- What are your motivations for pursuing a career in private equity or finance?
- Could you elaborate on the case study and share your detailed thoughts on it?
