Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Origins.
Store Manager
The person first introduced herself, and then asked about my job, brand, and location preferences. After this, we went through the questions I listed below. The person was very kind and nice throughout the phone screen process. The questions were more about candidate's personality, stories, and motivations.
- Regarding sales experience, do you have any?
- Are there other job titles that you would consider suitable?
- How would you handle or have you handled conflicts within a team?
Store Manager
The interview process included a DM, a Talent Plus interview (which was noted as the hardest and many people don't pass), an HR interview, and a Regional Manager interview. The interview with the regional manager was very brief, involving a Skype call that got disconnected, followed by a 3-minute phone call.
- How do you get your team to follow you
Store Manager
First, there was a normal screening. I met with the area executive to talk about the job and the company. Then, Estee Lauder Companies used Talent Plus for a phone interview to see what talents I might bring to the role. It was a bit strange because it was very structured and the analyst didn't really talk much or give feedback.
- Between making sales and providing excellent customer service, which do you prioritize more?
