Software Engineer
This involved asking about my past experiences and what I did in my previous roles. They also asked technical questions on Javascript, React, CSS, HTML, and Java. A lot of questions were about new features in React. It was a panel interview with 3 people jumping between them.
- What new features were introduced in ES6?
- Can you describe your past experiences and responsibilities in previous roles?
- Do you have technical knowledge of Javascript?
Software Engineer
It was two technical rounds and one HR round. In technical round they ask technical related questions. HR round was package discussion. After that they release offer letter with in couple of the days. Nice interview to attend.
- Could you answer some questions about Java collections and algorithms?
Senior Software Engineer
The interview had two rounds. The first technical round went well, but the second round was surprisingly short, only about 10 minutes. The interviewer asked four questions, and I managed to answer two. Most of the questions were subjective, like asking about the preference between Hibernate/JPA or REST/SOAP, and it felt like you had to guess the interviewer's exact thoughts. I asked about the work culture, and the response was dismissive, 'what do you mean by work culture, don't you know how it works, it is similar to that'. When I asked for clarification on one of the questions I couldn't answer, the reply was 'Go, and Google it'. I hope that was just a one-off instance, but the overall interview process was fine.
- Regarding singleton instances, how would you ensure one across multiple application hosts?
- Can you provide an SQL query to remove duplicate entries?
- Describe the internal workings of a HashMap.
