ORBCOMM Interview Questions
& Process

I spoke with HR, the hiring manager, and the LOB director. The process went quickly and was uncomplicated. I thought the questions were appropriate and reasonable. There were hardly any standard or generic interview questions.

This involved asking about my past experiences and what I did in my previous roles. They also asked technical questions on Javascript, React, CSS, HTML, and Java. A lot of questions were about new features in React. It was a panel interview with 3 people jumping between them.

The pre-sales engineer role at ORBCOMM is pretty unique and requires deep knowledge of my current industry. Because of this, my interview process was a bit longer than usual for other roles at ORBCOMM. I met with several people, and the interviews weren't just about them deciding if they wanted me, but also to check if the role was a good fit for me. It was evident they were seeking someone who wanted to build a long-term career in this position, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Everyone I spoke with was very polite and made me feel comfortable.

It was a virtual interview process with a few stages: first, an HR screen, then a meeting with the hiring manager (an SVP), and finally an interview loop where I met with individuals. There were also a couple of follow-up chats with the hiring SVP to go over any questions I had during the whole thing. It all went pretty smoothly, and the interviews were professional, focusing on answering my questions about the job, and they made an offer pretty fast. I really liked how they made sure Orbcomm was a good fit for me and my career goals, just as much as they were checking if I was a good fit for them. All in all, it was a really good experience.
