Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Orangetheory Fitness.
Sales
Literally a five minute conversation asked me like two questions and when I called she told me she already gave the job to someone that day:) Didn’t really care about my experience wanted to make sure I “looked” the part.
- How would you handle a difficult customer?
Sales Representative
The interview process was easy, they were really calm and warm. They asked me a bunch of questions and told me what they were looking for. They mentioned it's easy to get promoted here, and even though I only worked there for 8 months, I got an offer to be a manager, but I declined because of all the problems. There weren't enough people on the team, so most days my workload was for 4 or 5 people, and I did it all myself. They made me work extra hours when I was punched out, so I was doing extra work without pay. The pay wasn't enough either, they only paid $15 an hour, which is minimum wage.
- How many years of experience do you have?
- Do you know how to work with a laptop?
- How many years of customer service experience do you have?
Sales
The whole process was super fast and friendly, I got hired in less than a week. The manager and owner were great, they made me feel comfortable and like they really wanted me there. They were also really quick to respond to calls and texts.
