The process was extremely rigid. They sent me a form to fill out with all my documents, it felt like I was applying for a mortgage given the amount of personal data requested (LGPD doesn't seem to apply here). Finally, they told me about the job and asked for my salary expectations. I gave my expectations and the recruiter said it was above their budget for the role. He asked if I was open to negotiating and I said 'Yes,' so he asked what value I considered acceptable for the position. I lowered my initial expectation by about R$800.00. He said it was still over the job's budget, so I asked what their budget was, but he said he couldn't share due to internal policies. I then asked for the range, not necessarily the exact figure as it could be similar to a colleague's, but he insisted he still couldn't provide it. We were stuck in this stalemate. I thanked him for his time and we ended the call.

Over three months, there were phone interviews with HR, managers, and technical leads. This was followed by a full-day interview in Paris with all the previously mentioned collaborators. A good grasp of the company culture was needed, along with resilience under pressure while maintaining empathy, as the human element is central to Orange's values. Finally, strong technical and managerial skills and vision were essential.

3 phone interviews: one with HR, and two with the internship tutor and team lead. For the team lead interview, be as precise as possible to highlight professional skills and don't hesitate to justify your choices well. The HR interview is more classic with questions and answers about your university path and previous internships. Contribution in open source, OpenStack or other is a plus.
