I was interviewed by both the general manager and the owner. They really liked how I made eye contact, my happy-go-lucky personality, and my firm handshake. They were really looking for someone who could connect well with parents, and honestly, with everyone. Heads up: you gotta be extroverted or very outgoing to work at Orange Leaf.

I applied in person and a few days later they called me to set up an interview. Then, about an hour before the interview, the interviewer called to reschedule for the next day because he was at another store. The actual interview was pretty relaxed, just sitting in the store and talking. The interviewer was easygoing and not intimidating, and we laughed a bit even though I was nervous. He mentioned that my available hours didn't match the hours he was hiring for, but he'd still consider me, which made me wonder why he called me in when my availability was clear on the application. At the end, he said another person was coming in that weekend and he'd decide and call both of us the following Monday or Tuesday. It's been over a month, and I still haven't heard back, which is fine since I found a job elsewhere, but it's annoying because he said he'd call and let us know. I would have at least appreciated hearing back, even if I didn't get the job.

I applied in person and called a few times to check on my application. The manager was over another store in a different town, so I didn't get much info from them. But I got called back a few days later, went in for the interview, and they offered me the job.
