First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oracle Acquisitions.
Sales
The interview process involved great questions and was very reasonable. They reached out not too long after my application was submitted. They were flexible with scheduling to accommodate me and were receptive to my questions.
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
Sales Representative
The interview process started with 30 people and was worked down to 10. The second interview went well and all my questions were answered, but then it went weird. Within an hour after my interview, before I could fill out their last questionnaire, I got a call and was offered the job. It went a little too fast and straight-line for comfort. To find out the job posting was misleading. It never showed/shared the job was in retail sales (Costco). All it asked for was experience in retail sales. It never stated it was retail sales; it sounded more like inside/office sales. I asked about PTO and was told they really have no PTO policy, but they would work on a game plan to make sure I wouldn't go without pay. Again, that doesn't seem right when the main compensation is commission and if you are out on PTO, earning commission might be a little hard. Other reviews also share mileage reimbursement isn't included; again, doesn't sound right. They sure do make the job sound good until they actually start talking about it. I probably won't accept the offer.
- Can you share your sales background and what strengths you'd contribute to the company?
Sales Representative
The interview process went okay. The first interview was hard to understand because the interviewer talked fast and mumbled, but they were nice and energetic. The second interview was a surprise group interview, and none of us knew it would be. The biggest issue was the deceitfulness: job description details differed from interview discussions and were completely different in the offer letter. Read the offer letter carefully, as the OTE is higher than actual earnings, and job duties vary significantly from what was stated.
