Phone interview followed by an assessment day. The assessment day had a 60-90 second pitch, role play, a 'dragon's den' style group presentation, and a 1-1 interview. I didn't hear back after the assessment day and my emails weren't answered. Other candidates seemed prepared for the assessment day, but my recruiter gave me the wrong time and didn't mention the 90-second pitch, which put me at a disadvantage. It was an unexpected experience from Opus.

Behavioral Presentation

A Manager from Opus reached out to me directly after finding my CV online and offered me an interview for a Finance role. I accepted the interview, which was scheduled for the following week. The interview was on a Monday, and I was told I'd receive feedback by Wednesday of the same week. It's now been a month, and despite multiple follow-up emails, I haven't heard back or received any feedback, which I find unprofessional given they initiated contact.

Behavioral Presentation Group Case

You start with a phone call, and if that goes well, you get invited to an assessment centre. The person on the phone was really nice and helpful. The assessment day kicks off with a 90-second intro about something you're passionate about. Then, we broke into groups for a 'Dragon's Den' style challenge where we had to pitch a brand-new idea to the 'dragons' and justify why it deserved investment. Following that, we did some client call role-plays. Everyone got different client scenarios and fake CVs, and we had to try and get the 'client' (the recruiters) to schedule an interview based on the CV. These role-plays were done in front of everyone, and afterwards, we all got feedback from peers and recruiters. After lunch, there was a one-to-one interview, and some folks had two.

Behavioral Other

I had a telephone interview which was a really nice experience, they kept me updated at every step. The face-to-face interview though was awful. The director seemed to dislike me from the start and tried to intimidate me by making faces while aggressively asking questions. She seemed to assume I was misogynistic and kept bringing up feminism, trying to dominate the conversation, almost as if she needed to be in total control. I basically gave up halfway through. I'm a brown guy from London and it was obvious that's all she saw, plus any stereotypes she could think of. I wouldn't have taken the job even if they'd offered it.
