It was a really smooth and efficient process, with great communication. The conversation was pretty chill. They were interested in my past experiences and my background in venue sourcing. The questions were mostly what I expected, and pretty straightforward if you have enough experience. I liked that the hiring manager seemed laid-back and didn't just stick to a generic list of questions.

It was an easy conversation for a phone screening, and then we moved on to a Zoom interview. They didn't share much about the types of events they organize, making it difficult to highlight the most relevant parts of my background. They seemed more focused on the scale of events I'd managed (especially attendee numbers) than my years of experience, budget, or event quality. I didn't proceed past the Zoom interview. The advertised salary also appeared low considering the role's demands.

I sent my resume to the HR manager and then had an initial phone screen with her. After that, there were 3 more interviews with managers from client services and operations, and then I interviewed with the Executive Director.
