First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Optus.
Retail Assistant
The interview is pretty easy and simple, nothing too hard. They mostly just want to know your availabilities. You don't have to prep too much before you go in.
- Can you tell me about a time you faced a challenge and how you dealt with it?
Barista
I had an in-person interview. It felt friendly, though the pay isn't fantastic. I wasn't selected in the end. The facilities at the Macquarie Park campus are really good, with parking available. It's also conveniently located near trains and bus stops. Maybe next time.
- For how long have you worked as a barista?
Retail Assistant
It was a simple sit-down interview, usually with the store manager. It was pretty casual, they asked me questions about myself and why I wanted to work for Optus. Then they asked me to ask them some questions – good idea to ask about the culture and workplace environment, not so much about salary or benefits.
- How do you see yourself fitting in with our team?
