First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Optus.
Manager
The interview process was very long and difficult. I found it very hard overall, and the questions were hard. I found it hard to prepare overall, but it wasn't meant to be. I recommend studying for this and being confident.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join this company?
Manager
The interview process wasn't recent. It felt a bit overwhelming initially, but the employees and managers eventually became more approachable. The HR interactions were also satisfactory. I'm uncertain about proceeding with the next steps and would be interested in hearing from current employees about their job satisfaction and the company's values.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
Bid Manager
The process was really long and the communication wasn't great. The job was posted even though they didn't have the money approved yet, which took months to sort out. They expected me to just wait around forever for Optus's internal stuff to happen. They wouldn't even give me a conditional offer letter before checking references so I could resign. The interviews were also just the same questions over and over.
- How would you gather bid information?
