I was contacted by a recruiter and then connected with the hiring manager. After that, I went through several interviews with the manager, my potential peers, and other colleagues. This process took about three weeks. A heads-up about Optiv's really strict non-compete clause, which they don't budge on, is important. It's unusual in the cybersecurity field. I even talked to a lawyer, but they couldn't give clear answers and there was no flexibility. This whole non-compete thing wasn't mentioned until the offer letter, which is why I had to decline the offer.

Disappointing experience. The recruiter sent me directly to an hour-long video interview that recorded my answers. The questions were jumbled, mixing technology and general questions, making it feel very disjointed. After two weeks, they said they wanted to bring me in to meet the team, but I had already accepted another job. It was interesting to see all the bogus "rave reviews" written the same day with similar formats. Maybe they should actually recruit...

It was a technical round with the Senior consultants, and then a final round with the Senior Manager. This might differ for each person; some might have three interview rounds. After the manager makes a decision, HR will contact you to talk about compensation. If everything looks good, you'll get an offer letter.
