First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Optimum Healthcare IT.
Contractor
It was a video interview that lasted about 30 to 40 minutes, though the time could vary depending on who you spoke with. The technicality of the questions would be decided then. They were pretty simple though if you already know what you're doing or if you prepared. Just don't try to act like you know more than them, they won't advance you. (take what you want from that)
- Did you face any situational questions?
- Were there technical questions asked?
- Did you do a SWOT analysis?

So I had my recruiter screening call with Marcia Meredith, and that went well. Then I had a video interview with Danielle Stout, which also went well. She said the next step was to set up an interview with the clients. I followed up after about 3 weeks, and she said they'd set it up once the clients gave their availability. I waited almost 2 months, and Danielle called again, saying they were really interested but still waiting on the clients and might consider me for other locations. After 3 months of emailing, I never heard back because the clients 'never gave their availability,' and I wasn't told about other positions. They ghosted me after saying my qualifications were amazing.
- Describe how you handle conflict.
Trainer
I got invited to a special job fair by a recruiter. It went on for four hours one evening and we could show up whenever. First, I did a quick one-on-one interview with some interviewers in a hotel meeting room. There were lines of people, and it lasted about five minutes per person. Then, I had to do a mock training session. I went into a private room with four people, drew a topic, had 30 seconds to prep, and then trained them for two minutes.
- How do you define customer service?
CareerPath Analyst
We had 1 info session and 3 interviews: first a phone call for general questions about your interest and background, then a video interview that went more in depth about personality, past job experiences, and goals, specifically in the healthcare IT field, and finally another video interview where you had to give a presentation on a topic of your choice.
- What makes you want to get into healthcare IT?
- In three words, how would you describe yourself?
- Can you share a story about a time you got through a tough challenge?
