I applied for a job at Optima Tax Relief in November. The process was a bit slow because of the holidays. I applied for an outbound role, but they thought I'd be a better fit for a customer service representative (CSR) role, which I accepted. It was slow but worth it. First, there was a phone interview, then a one-on-one meeting, and a typing test. Different departments have different typing speed requirements. I felt welcomed during the interviews. My recruiter, Sogal, kept in touch and helped me prepare by suggesting I practice my typing and forwarding my resume to hiring managers. When the outbound team didn't have an opening, Sogal didn't give up on me and found a role that suited me. This shows the company cares about its employees and wants them to succeed. Thanks, Optima Tax Relief, for the opportunity in 2019 and for Sogal!

I applied online and got a call from a woman who asked me a bunch of stuff, like what I was making at my last job, which I thought was rude. She didn't ask anything about my experience or why I wanted to work for Optima. I didn't know what would happen next. Then, a few days later, I got a generic email saying they were going with other people. It seemed like she didn't like my voice because my resume got their attention, but after talking to me, she decided my voice wasn't what they wanted.

It was honestly one of the best interviews I’ve had in a while. I felt very welcomed and at ease throughout the entire conversation. The hiring managers were incredibly kind and professional, and they truly reflected the company’s culture in the way they communicated and engaged with me. The experience left a very positive impression
