Case Manager
They really want to get to know you as a person and the overall interview was fun. I wasn’t nervous at all. They do give you all the information that you need to know.
- What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
- What are your skills?
- What is your previous experience?
Data Engineer
The interview process was thorough and included several stages. It began with an initial phone interview, followed by an online technical test. After that, I had an in-person interview which included a series of technical and behavioral questions. Finally, there was an interview with the department director, where my past experiences and future goals were discussed.
- Can you describe a project where you used large amounts of data to solve a complex problem?
Sales Representative
The interview process involved 1 phone interview and 1 Zoom interview with management. It felt like a scam because you don't technically work for Optima Tax until you work for their subsidiary, make sales for them, and then get promoted to Optima. The interview was very unprofessional, with discussions about political beliefs, cancel culture, and other unrelated topics.
- What is your biggest strength and weakness?
Tax Associate
The interview process was a great experience. It started with a phone interview with Christina, she was extremely helpful with explaining the job description and answering my questions. After the phone interview I was asked to attend the in person interview 3 days later. I was out of state, so I flew to Arizona to be there. My interview was with Ben and Raymond. They challenged me by asking great questions, and it took about 1 hour. They still had other candidates to interview at this time, so they could not make a decision until they finished all of their other interviews. Two weeks later I got the call that they offered me the position. Overall I think the interview experience with Optima Tax Relief was excellent.
- Would you prioritize working for a great company over a $100,000 paycheck, and explain your reasoning?
