Behavioral Presentation

My interview experience with OpenSignal was really great. The recruiter, Sophie, first contacted me on LinkedIn, and after that, everything went smoothly and felt very professional. She gave me a lot of info, told me who I'd meet with, and even shared their LinkedIn profiles. She also gave me good advice along the way. Her help and support were super important, especially when it came to the offer. The interviews were interesting and well-planned, focusing on the company's vibe, the value OpenSignal brings to clients, and how my background and leadership style fit. I spoke with several leaders, including the CTO, and they all emphasized how important it is to invest in employees and improve processes, which I really connected with. The whole thing took about 5-6 weeks from start to finish, and I honestly couldn't have had a better experience. If you're thinking about applying to OpenSignal, I definitely recommend connecting with Sophie; she's awesome!

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I went through 4 interviews for this job. First, a recruiter called me. Then, I had two interviews with the hiring manager, and one of them involved a written assignment and a numerical task. After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager and the team. The final interview was a culture chat with a VP. The recruiter contacted me after each stage. Interestingly, after the fourth interview, they told me they had already decided on another candidate after the third interview. When I asked why I was invited for the fourth interview, they didn't have an answer.

Technical Case

The process was way too long and complicated. This company requires way too much time from a candidate, they need to streamline their process to reach their decision faster. It included a recruiter screen, 6 one on one interviews, and an analytics project. They reached out to a senior person at current company for feedback without asking for permission. That was unethical and risked my standing at my current company. This was a huge time commitment and the rejection was cold and generic. You owe candidates more after you put them through this ordeal.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process for this Data Engineer role involved 6 interviews spread over about 6 weeks. It was a long and tough process, with long gaps where I didn't hear back from the company. Their communication was quite poor. In one instance, the interviewer didn't even show up. I had to be the one to reach out and find out the interviewer wasn't available, which was quite a while after the meeting was supposed to start. They did apologize a lot for that, though. The people I interviewed with were all really nice and pleasant, and I enjoyed talking with them. In the end, they decided to hire someone with more experience, which feels like something they could have figured out much earlier. It makes me think the way they run things is disorganized, to say the least.
