Behavioral Presentation

I've had a really unfortunate experience with OpenMarket, this being my third time interviewing with them. I'm feeling pretty dejected by the whole process. The first time was last year around July 2020, and HR told me I was a good fit but they had someone who was further along. Then, early this year (2021), an interview with their Data & Analytics team got canceled, and HR gave me the same 'final candidate' response. Yesterday, I even took a day off work to prepare for an interview, but HR canceled it just two hours beforehand, again with that same 'final candidate' line. It feels like a scripted response from HR. They shouldn't waste people's time if they already have someone lined up.

Behavioral Other

I had a recruiter pre-screen, then a 30-min phone interview with the hiring manager in the UK about a week later. Two weeks after that, I was supposed to have an onsite interview in Seattle. But about 90 mins before it was supposed to start, they canceled and said the position was filled. I had traveled to Seattle for this, spent time prepping, and now I missed out on other opportunities because I'd pushed back another interview for this one. It really felt unprofessional, and makes me question their employee treatment and culture based on recent reviews. In hindsight, I guess I dodged a bullet.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process involved an initial 30-minute phone screen with a recruiter, followed by a 30-minute online technical screen. The final stage was an onsite interview lasting approximately 4 hours. This onsite portion consisted of several short interviews (30-45 minutes each) with various team members, senior managers, and shadowing interviewers. The focus for this specific role was on relevant experience as a people manager, including conflict resolution and career growth management.

Technical Coding

It started with a recruiter phone screen. Then about a week later, I had a technical phone screen that felt more like an interrogation. The interviewer was late and just went through a list of questions. I didn't get to expand on anything, and when I tried, the interviewer seemed annoyed. I wasn't really interested in the company after that. I feel like they forgot that interviewees are also evaluating them. Also, they don't seem to care about interview feedback since the rejection email was from a no-reply address, which is weird after all the time spent. I sent my feedback to the recruiter, but heard nothing back.
