& Process

The hiring process was quite straightforward. It began with an initial contact and meeting facilitated by HR. Following that, I had a meeting with the department head. The final stage involved an in-person assessment of my language skills, conducted jointly by the team leader and the department head.

First there was a phone chat about you and the company. Then, a panel interview happened where they asked about you, the company, your skills, and weaknesses. They also covered what the company expects, dress code, work atmosphere, and culture.

Applied via an external recruitment firm, LHH. Initial screening by recruiters who seemed unfamiliar with the role's requirements. After that, there was a four-week silence. Then came a coding and system design interview. The people were nice, but it was unexpected that they didn't have a coding environment or a system design board ready, so I had to improvise. This wasn't communicated beforehand. The final interview involved two other interviewers. One was alright, but the other was a very cocky, poker-faced, know-it-all who seemed to feed off others' emotions. They mainly delved into my previous work experience and asked fundamental questions about software development.

I had interviews with TA, which was good. They asked me 10 questions that weren't too hard and answered all my questions. Then I had 2 interviews that lasted an hour each. These interviews tested my SQL and Python skills. They weren't too difficult and I managed to solve everything. The interviewers asked some follow-up questions, but they weren't complex. It's been a few weeks and I haven't heard back yet.
